Season 9 is different!

I am so excited for my new AI9 blog! This is such a great season with a lovable/hateable cast of contestants. I’ve viewed my share of American Idol seasons in the past, starting with Carrie Underwood season 4 up to Adam Lambert last year. Over time one learns the producer’s formulas to select the perfectly commercial top 24 contestants for America to peruse. This season feels different to me. I am surprised at the producers, and sadly, America doesn’t get it. That is why I am fascinated by Season 9.

Katelyn Epperly is cool

I am well aware Katelyn Epperly’s been voted off. This site is a bit of an homage to her, after her premature expulsion from American Idol Season 9, 2010. That is why I will commemorate her in the logo, for the time being. Lilly was my third favorite, and I also held an affinity for little Alex Lambert, and was shocked and appalled by all of their dismissals.

Katie Stevens annoys me

I’m sure Katelyn could have done a better job than a number of people in the Top Twelve. How I miss her curls. I wish it was Katelyn who sung Breakaway, not that peon Katie Stevens.

It's fun to talk about American Idol Season 9 but...

I also made this blog to prevent me from gushing about American Idol Season 9, 2010, to random people I chat with, at work, friends, family, acquaintances; they all (use to) get the brunt of my musings and opinions. Most listening politely, possibly entertained by my obsessive analysis of the show. Realistically they don’t care that much.
